final pepper harvest

The growing season is now coming to a close, and so I am now preparing the beds for the winter and for next season. In the past week or so, temperatures have been hitting the 50s at night so I figured that these peppers wouldn't have much time left outside in the garden. So, even though they were all green, I picked them all and axed the pepper plants.

(top row) "Serrano del sol" and "Ace"; (middle row) "Cheyenne" and "Carmen"; (bottom) "Sultan's Golden Cresent"

I also pulled out my last batch of pole beans this week. These are a yellow, fuzzy bean called 'Sultan's Golden Crescent". Although they were pretty, they were also pretty flavorless. I won't be growing these again next season.
